Carlo Gavazzi, a manufacturer of power supplies, capacitive proximity sensors and many parts for car washing systems offers a series of slim-profile photoelectric sensors, called the PD70, for pedestrian and industrial door applications.

With a housing that 11.5 millimeters wide by 11.5 millimeters deep, the PD70 can be mounted in narrow door frames.  A built-in test input feature on the emitter, which allows for evaluation of proper sensor function. The sensing range of 12 meters (approximately 40 feet) allows the PD70 to be used in wide-door openings. Color-coded sensors (red for emitter, green for receiver) come pre-wired with 5 meters of cable or an M8 quick-connect plug.

The PD70 is UL 325-approved and designed to comply with all relevant European and North American door standards. The series carries CE and cURus marks, providing evidence of safety testing.

The Carlo Gavazzi PD70 is an ideal complementary product to our popular RAD series of radar sensors for pedestrian doors, providing a complete motion and presence solution for comprehensive automation and safety in door applications.

The emitter has a test input to turn it off for evaluation of the sensor function. Available in 10-30 VDC version.

The GUARDIAN by Carlos Gavazzi is a combination motion and presence sensor for pedestrian sliding doors. The sensor is based on CMOS digital video camera technology and detection on image processing. The motion zone reacts only on movement whereas the presence zone reacts on both movement and presence. The motion zone can be blanked in 3 directions (front, left and right) in order to avoid detection of unwanted objects.

The GUARDIAN replaces the combination of traditional door radar sensors and photoelectric sensors, with one simple yet advanced unit. With UL325, cURus, CE, and TUV approvals, you are assured that the GUARDIAN is a high quality and safe device, which will set the standard for door sensors.
