DART Fieldbus:  Intrinsic Safety Now Available without Power Limits

Pepperl & Fuchs has introduced the Dynamic Arc Recognition and Termination (DART) technology for use in the popular FieldConnex Fieldbus Infrastructure.  DART Technology is a dynamic system that provides dramatically higher power levels while maintaining intrinsically safe energy levels. 

According to Pepperl & Fuchs the FieldConnex DART Fieldbus components supply enough power to support as many devices as are typically supplied in nonhazardous areas.  Spur connections, however, are designed to match requirements for today's intrinsically safe field instrumentation.  What makes DART so unique is that it enables process automation users to fully benefit from the advantages of intrinsically safe fieldbus technology in hazardous areas such as ensuring system availability and lowering total cost of ownership.
