ASO-Safety contact mats are now available thru Euchner from Marshall Wolf Automation.ASO-Safety contact mats are used to safeguard industrial and production automation.  Stepping on the mat triggers an immediate "top" signal to the ASO safety relay (which is needed to achieve the safety rating) in order to prevent hazardous movement of the production equipment.  The ASO-Safety contact mats consist of a surface area switch which has been encased in polyurethane to ensure impermeability to water.  This technique causes the mat to be especially sturdy against water, dust, and other damaging factors.  The mats are provided with a slip resistant surface to protect the operator.

Typical applications include:  Buses and trains, machine and equipment, and elevators and/or lifts.
