Carlo Gavazzi ISGA Series

Friday, January 20, 2012 by Caryl Clement
You know Carlo Gavazzi sensors, and you know them for the great equipment they make for car washing systems.  Now, Carlo Gavazzi is excited launch their new range of Grid-Tied PV Inverters. The ISGA Series features a transformerless design, which does not incorporate or require a cooling fan. Naturally, cooling fans have moving components which ultimately will fail, therefore their exclusion in the design leads to a longer, maintenance-free product life span. This is merely one of the reasons why the PV inverters are available with a warranty of up to 10 years.display

The ISGA Series are available in 2kW, 3kW, 4kW and 5kW output sizes with a 240VAC 60Hz single phase output or three inverters combined for up to 6 to 15kW, 240VAC delta 3-phase 60Hz output. The inverter has an output efficiency up to 96.4%, with CEC ratings up to 95.5%. The ISGA Series inverter has a remarkable input voltage range of 150 to 450VDC, allowing customers to realize a significant increase in AC production time. Some models also offer the ability to connect two individual MPP inputs – again, allowing for an increase in production time. The input is protected from overvoltage, ground faults, reverse polarity and surges.

The ISGA Series inverters feature a user friendly LCD display and are easily installed via a quick-mount bracket. The built-in combination AC/DC disconnect switch also allows for quick installation without the need for a separate externally mounted disconnect switch. They have an environmentally robust and durable powder coated metal housing, with a NEMA3R outdoor rating, and can operate from -4° to 122°F (-25° to +50°C). The inverters also come standard with an RS232 output. However, RS485, Ethernet, USB and Web Server capabilities are available as options.

EOS-Array - Expandable Photovoltaic Monitoring Solutions

Monday, June 20, 2011 by Caryl Clement
Eos ArrayThe Eos-Array is an expandable combination of modules which provides complete control of a photovoltaic plant. The core unit is the VMU-M which performs local bus management of both measuring units, the VMU-Sand the VMU-P and the VMU-O I/O unit. The VMU-M assigns the local unit address automatically and gathers the local measurements coming from VMU-S and VMU-P measuring units. The VMU-M can provide, via the VMU-O modules, two relay outputs to manage alarms and/or external loads (such as a lighting system,a PV washing system, etc.) and two PV panel temperature inputs. The VMU-S is the DC power measuring unit (generated by PV panel), features a built-in fuse holder. The VMU-P collects relevant environmental data (through external sensors) such as wind speed, air temperature and sun irradiation. The Eos-ArraySoft is freeware software, which downloads the Eos-Array system memory to the PC, for improved PV plant efficiency and analysis.

Energy Management Solutions from Carlo Gavazzi - EM21

Friday, June 3, 2011 by Caryl Clement
Three Phase Compact Energy Meter, Detachable Display Carlo Gavazzi EM21

EM21-D Energy Meter Carlo GavazziThis three-phase energy meter with removable front LCD display unit can be used either as a DIN-rail mounting or a panel mounting energy meter.

This general purpose three-phase energy meter is suitable for both active and reactive energy metering for cost allocation but also for main electrical parameter measurement and retransmission (transducer function).

Detachable display allows three installation modes - DIN rail energy meter, panel mounting, energy meter and transducer.

The nature of our voltage mains has changed greatly in the last 10 years. With the proliferation of non-linear loads such as inverters, power converters, switch-mode power supplies, and computers, there is a growing concern for the quality of our power sources.

Problems often arise which can cause equipment failure or shutdown resulting in significant costs and loss of production. Power quality problems can result in failure of compensation capacitors, tripping of fuses, over-heating of transformers and motors, failures of electronic equipment, and high neutral currents.

Energy costs are becoming a significant expense in most processes. With increased energy unit costs, decreased generating capacity, and the environmental concerns with the burning of fossil fuels, it is important that companies reduce their electrical consumption.

Marshall Wolf Automation, your industrial automation distributor – with Carlo Gavazzi offer a broad range of power quality meters and transducers which give early warning of power quality problems - allowing preventative action to be taken before a major failure results. Most of our products offer relay outputs that can be used to immediately shut down a piece of equipment if a certain threshold is reached. Another option is to connect to your PLC or PC control system to provide plant wide monitoring of power quality using 4-20 mA current signals or via RS485 or Ethernet communications.

We also offer a number of software products for monitoring of a network of meters and transducers. This allows at-a-glance viewing of your complete power system.  If you are in need of any Carlo Gavazzi sensors or car washing systems equipment, call us today!  800-325-9653.  We'd be happy to help you!

Electronic Key System (EKS)

Friday, May 14, 2010 by Caryl Clement
The EUCHNER Electronic Key System (EKS) allows only authorized personnel to access machine controls and process parameters. The uniquely coded inductive key tags, can provide various levels of authorization. For example, different levels of access can be established for programming, maintenance, operation, etc. The EKS makes passwords obsolete.

The tag reader is compact, measuring only 1 ½" x 3". Unlike magnetic coded swipe card, the EKS tag cannot be wiped out. If a tag is lost or stolen, you can block that tag instead of reprogramming the entire system.

The electronic key system provides protection against unauthorized access to operation and visualization systems. In typical applications the user has an access right at a specific level via the electronic-key.

Electronic keys are available for the electronic key system in different colors with identical functionality.

Whether you make car washing systems or food equipment supplies, this is a product that can save you time, energy and money!  We are an authorized Euchner distributor
