Just this summer Carlo Gavazzi announced the release of a newly expanded PA18 series of photoelectric sensors.The

F99 Series inclination sensors are in use on the WT1000 aerial work platform manufactured by Palfinger Platforms GmbH. The WT1000 is the tallest all-terrain aerial work platform in the world, and has been specifically developed for installing and servicing wind turbines.
The platform has an extreme working height of over 100 m and can reach heights that conventional aerial work platforms cannot. The exact position of the work platform arm system must be monitored continuously to guarantee the stability of the aerial work platform, the safety of personnel, and to prevent damage to the wind turbine.
Palfinger relies on the dependable F99 series inclination sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs. The inclination sensors detect the exact position of the arm system on the aerial work platform.
Palfinger Platforms defined two angular measurement ranges between 0 degrees and 360 degrees for detecting the position of the arm system on their aerial work platforms. The F99 inclination sensors were then adapted by Pepperl+Fuchs according to these specific requirements. To reduce the effect of vibrations on the sensor element, the angle measurement was equipped with a special filter.

Inductive proximity sensors basically let you know if something is there (parts presence), detect and confirm features, verify a hole presence or absence and many other applications.
Inductive proximity sensors are competitive, reliable and accurate. Relatively rugged and they are generally the most popular choice if the target you are detecting is metal.
Capacitive proximity sensors are similar to inductive but they product an electrostatic field instead of an electromagnetic one.
Capacitive proximity sensors will sense metal as well as nonmetallic materials such as paper, glass, liquids, and cloth. Level detection through a barrier is a popular application for a capacitive proximity sensor.

The LS680-DA series optical data couplers from Pepperl+Fuchs are the first couplers on the market that can achieve a full Ethernet bandwidth of 100 Mbit/s, even over distances up to 150 m.
They are up to fifty times faster than all other devices currently available on the market. For the first time, it is possible to transfer data via a fast Ethernet connection using an optical data coupler and actually utilize the full bandwidth.

Carlo Gavazzi, a manufacturer of power supplies, capacitive proximity sensors and many parts for car washing systems offers a series of slim-profile photoelectric sensors, called the PD70, for pedestrian and industrial door applications.
With a housing that 11.5 millimeters wide by 11.5 millimeters deep, the PD70 can be mounted in narrow door frames. A built-in test input feature on the emitter, which allows for evaluation of proper sensor function. The sensing range of 12 meters (approximately 40 feet) allows the PD70 to be used in wide-door openings. Color-coded sensors (red for emitter, green for receiver) come pre-wired with 5 meters of cable or an M8 quick-connect plug.
The PD70 is UL 325-approved and designed to comply with all relevant European and North American door standards. The series carries CE and cURus marks, providing evidence of safety testing.
The Carlo Gavazzi PD70 is an ideal complementary product to our popular RAD series of radar sensors for pedestrian doors, providing a complete motion and presence solution for comprehensive automation and safety in door applications.
