The 5-VA flame rating means that the enclosure will not burn with flaming or glowing combustion for a set time and that it will not drop flaming particles. This opens new doors for applications previously reserved for expensive metallic enclosures!
In addition our Attabox polycarbonate enclosures are rated NEMA 3R, 4, 4X and 12 per UL 50. This means our polycarbonate enclosures provides ingress protection from rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, hose directed water, impact and flame!
