AEO stands for Authorised EconomicOperator. The progressive globalization but also the significance of the current security situation – keyword fighting terrorism – has caused the World Customs Organization (WCO) to develop the rules and standards SAFE not only as minimum requirements for national security programs but also as solid world-wide framework for a modern and effective risk management by the customs authorities. An essential basic module of the mentioned framework is the status AEO.
Personally I have never had a customer request this but maybe some of you out there do look for it.
