X-Series Pile Driver Extended-Range inductive sensors from Pepperl + Fuchs Inc., are now available in 8 mm dia. models, with barrel lengths as short as 35 mm and a sensing range of 3 mm. Features include the ability to detect all metals, a single-piece machined SS barrel that is fully embeddable in steel, Black Armor coated weld-immune models, and pig-tail connect versions with power supply and target presence LEDs. Extended-range sensors are also available in 12, 18, and 30 mm dia. for sensing ranges of 5, 10, or 15 mm. The sensors are suited for use in automotive manufacturing, providing reliable detection of irregularly shaped contours.
