Carlo Gavazzi, a manufacturer of power supplies, capacitive proximity sensors and many parts for car washing systems offers a series of slim-profile photoelectric sensors, called the PD70, for pedestrian and industrial door applications.
With a housing that 11.5 millimeters wide by 11.5 millimeters deep, the PD70 can be mounted in narrow door frames. A built-in test input feature on the emitter, which allows for evaluation of proper sensor function. The sensing range of 12 meters (approximately 40 feet) allows the PD70 to be used in wide-door openings. Color-coded sensors (red for emitter, green for receiver) come pre-wired with 5 meters of cable or an M8 quick-connect plug.
The PD70 is UL 325-approved and designed to comply with all relevant European and North American door standards. The series carries CE and cURus marks, providing evidence of safety testing.
