BLDC Motors

BLDC MotorWhat is a BLDC motor?  That's the first thing I thought when I first saw this term.  BLDC means brushless DC motor.  And why is that a good thing?  Because brushes wear out, for one thing.  Also, brushes limit how many poles the armature can have, limit the max speed of the motor, and when the brushes make and break electrical connections, spark and give you noise.

The only disadvantage of a brushless motor is its higher initial cost, but you can often recover that cost through the greater efficiency over the life of the motor.  That disadvantage disappears if you shop through Marshall Wolf Automation, your industrial automation distributor!

Our BLDC motors from SPG, available from 10 to 90 watt output power, are a complete package at low pricing!  Our tech support department can cross reference Oriental motors for you and the gearhead is included.  Call us today at 800-325-9653!
