Have you ever seen sparks fly?

Static electricity can be a blast at home, but not something you want in the work place. How many of us remember shuffling our feet along the carpet just so we could go up to our siblings and “ZAP” them with static electricity? Just this week my son was rubbing a balloon on his head so his hair would stand up straight, or if you are lucky, remember the “electricity” of a kiss.

Static electricity cannot be seen with the eye, which is one of the reasons is can be so much fun. However, in the workplace this same reason can make it very dangerous. High-density, high-precision electrical equipment used in the workplace can create a buildup of static electricity. Measurement of surface potentials while the production line is running provides a new way to assess its levels accurately so that it can be constantly managed. The Sunx EF-S1 series is designed to provide precise measurement in even severe conditions. The sensor head is compact and can be installed using just a bracket. This makes it an ideal solution in a wide variety of applications.
