Baumer has expanded its portfolio of distance measuring sensors with the OADM 260 laser distance sensor. The new time of flight technology sensor measures distances up to 13 meters. With its compact housing it is one of the smallest and at the same time most powerful sensors on the market.

The OADM 260 laser distance sensor is especially suited for path measurements in large-format machines, i.e. in wood, metal, or paper processing, or in hydraulic lifts and raised platforms. The compact design of the sensor facilitates its integration into the application. The measuring range of the OADM can be adjusted via a teach-in button or the connector cable. Safety contact edges are employed to guard closing edges at possible crushing or shearing points. They are used in gates, machine and handling facilities to protect people and equipment. They consist of an aluminum support profile, the contactor profile and the safety contact edge. The special shape of the EPDM or NBR rubber profiles protects the inside safety contact edge in the best possible way from damage and allows actuating angles to exceed 90°.
The SKL profiles are constructed according to the one chamber principle into which the contact surfaces have been extruded. Adhesive film or a special mounting on the side facilitate the installation.
