If you have an SM series drive by AC TECH and have not had a plant power failure, it could be just a matter of time due to high electrical grid burdons or fortunate that severe storms have not struck your area. But recently we had an existing customer experience this particular issue and they were now in a down situation and needed to get back up and running fast. Unforturnately, a step by step procedure is not published, but the informantion is in the manual, just not in the best organized fashion. Here is a quick reference guide for when this occures.

Per the Technicians at AC TECH:
“A manual reset is down by setting parameter P48(program) to a value “04” (reset 60hz).
To access the parameters hit mode, if prompted for a password the default password is “225”, then hit mode again and it will display P01 scroll up to P48, hit mode, scroll to a value of “04” and hit mode again to accept the new setting, the drive will then be successfully reset.
Keep in mind that any parameters that have been changed from their default settings will be reset and will need to be re-programmed so it may be helpful to record parameter settings prior to preforming a drive reset. Also, if it is an OEM unit set P48 to “03” (reset to OEM settings)".
